manual therapy
Manual Therapy comes in many forms. They are used to correct the contractile tissue such as muscles (some research states fascia also contracts) to allow for their contraction and relaxation, to improve the passive movement of connective tissue of scars, fascia, ligaments, tendons, and joints.
BreakingThrough specialists follow the Maitland principles and trained at the University of Saint Augustine. For this modality, our Physical Therapists use their hands as their most important tool for treatment. Overall this is BreakingThrough’s specialty and we are proud of it. We use PNF, muscle energy, stroking, and other techniques always catering to the needs of the patient.
