BreakingThrough utilizes two kinds of taping, McConnell or Rocktape. The main use of McConnell taping is to provide more stability, perfect of ligament sprains. Rocktape is used to reeducate the muscles or soft tissue to re-learn their natural function such as with back pain. This is an elastic tape that has some recoil that mimics muscle. More and more athletes use these techniques because it provides few contraindications, and we test the patient’s skin prior to application to assure skin tolerance.
